SHR Whispering Oaks Jumpin Jack WDX JH CGC "JACK"

Jack was Chessie and Indy's son from our first breeding. He was our first "Whispering Oaks" boy to title. During his 14.5 years with us, he tried the show ring and found hunting more to his liking. He earned his UKC SHR title, his AKC JH title and the ACC title WDX. Along the way earned his CGC title as well.
Jack had superior marking ability. He took his job seriously and LOVED to retrieve. This is the area where Jack thrived. Jack was devoted to his family. He was definitely the Alpha dog.
Just for fun, at the age of 10 we started taking Jack Dock Diving. He had a lot of fun, and got very excited when his turn came.He jumped with a lot of "air" not too shabby for a senior boy. He jumped for fun, not titles. But no matter what Jack did, he was a true inspiration to us all.
On December 27,2014, Jim took Jack duck hunting near Lake Okeechobee, Florida. What started out as a fun day turned into a nightmare. Startled by the unexpected gunfire, Jack bolted out to the boat and disappeared into the dense swampy area of cat tails. Jack's story of perseverance and survival can be read in our section "other". He was truly an example of everything a Chesapeake is supposed to be.
Sadly we lost Jack in September 2016. With his passing a chapter of our life closed. He left an emptiness in our hearts that will never be replaced. RIP Jack, until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
